Welcome everyone, to the Newbrook family legacy!

Here is the founder of the Newbrook legacy, Rimley Newbrook. She is a young adult with the following personality traits: Childish, Family-Oriented, Heavy Sleeper, Hopeless Romantic & Loner.
001

For my fellow Simmers out there who are interested, Rimley is my simself except (obviously) for her name. Her apperance and traits are from me but her name is a fusion of mine and my boyfriend’s names.
This story/challenge will follow the official ‘legacy challenge’ rules (see About page for a link) and I will do my best to keep track of all of the points earnt.
One other thing to point out… the Newbrook family will have a ‘family-trait’ (as stated in the optional rules section of the challenge rules) chosen from Rimley’s traits. This will be the Hopeless Romantic trait, i.e. each member will desparately search for their solemate during their lifetime.

Lets begin…

Moving to 345 Riverblossom Hills Drive in Riverview has not been the best experience for Rimley. The problem is she mis-read the advertisement in the newspaper and thought it said the price of the plot of land she now owned was $1,470 when in fact as it turned out it actually said $14,700 – that extra zero makes such a difference – but by the time she’d realised her error it was too late and been forced to pay up.

So out of the $16,000 Rimley had saved to start a life in Riverview there was now only a pityful $1,300 left! With this she purchased a bed and a bookcase.

Nemm: “Don’t sulk Rimley, there is nothing you can do to fix it now”
Rimley: “I’m just praying its the dry season here in Riverview”
Nemm: “I really don’t think you have anything to worry about there”
NB:- Its a little strange talking to your simself!

Rimley didn’t take long to let me know what she dreamed of.
003
Rimley: “…a white picket fence surrounding a garden full of beautiful flowers and home-grown vegetables, with a modest home in the centre… enough rooms for my 5 children and room to spare for lots of grandchildren.”
Hmmm… her Family-Oriented trait is clearly working.
Nemm: “There are two key things you’re going to need to make that dream come true, the first is a job to bring money in.

004

Rimley wishes to work within the science career path, and it turned out that luck was on her side for this one as she found a job advertisment in the local paper for a Test Subject. It was the bottom of the ladder but it was a start.

The second thing Rimley needed to make her daydream a reality someday was not going to be as easy to find… she would need a husband. So as her stomach was starting to rumble Rimley went for a walk in search of food and potential husbands.

005
006
Nemm: “Well..?”
Rimley: “Um… <gobble>… I found food but no potential husbands. No potential anything actually! Are you sure this town is populated?!”
Nemm: “Errr… no… not really, but there has got to be someone around here for you.”

Although Rimley could not find anyone to talk to during her first day in Riverview, she did find somewhere to make hotdogs whenever she was hungry. And on the way home she found a quaint little communal garden which had public toilets!
007

Rimley: “Fine I’ll use them for now, but you’ve got to promise me my own personal bathroom as soon as I can afford it.”

You can see Rimley’s Loner trait is also working. She’d been happy to live her entire life tucked away in her little (day)dream home if I let her…
